Interaction is the lifeblood of a blog
I was wondering what the Minimal Marketable Featureset for a new blog would be for me. I drafted a few blogposts and didn’t publish them, because I felt that without easy interaction with readers it didn’t make sense.
Commenting is for me the must have feature for interaction. Sure, people can write their own posts, but that takes a lot more effort. Yes, they can scriblle short messages on some ever more closed social platforms, but those responses disappear from the context of the blog, and their existence depends on the benevolence of the dicators running those platforms.
I enjoyed the comments I got on my other blog a lot, sometimes they inspire new posts, sometimes they change my mind or confirm that I’m not alone in thinking something. Usually they inspire to write more.
So here’s my first post on this blog, what better way to test the new comment functionality than dedicating the first to those who write thought provoking comments?comments powered by Disqus
